Summer

So I finally decided that I can taking a summer class.  I wasn't to hip on it, but it is only one day a week so that made it better.  My friends and I have so many plans for this summer, and it makes me so excited.  I honestly just cant wait to have my best friend back in town with me.  Even though we will both be working and taking summer classes, we have the evenings off and also the weekends.  We plan on going to Chicago this summer which I can so excited for because I have never been to Chicago.  Also, her family goes to Florida every year, and I will be joining again just like last year.  I just have a feeling that this summer is going to go by way to fast.

What has influenced you?

The biggest thing that has influenced me the most would be where and how I was raised.  I am so thankful that I had a loving and caring family growing up, that fought for what they deserved.  I was raised in the small town of Freeburg and I am so glad that it wasn't anywhere else.  Going to school and living in Freeburg definitely had its bad days but I think that is just because of the girls at the school. I can definitely tell you though, that if it wasn't for them I for sure would not be who I am today.  Also, I could not thank my parents enough for raising me the way they did.  when I start a family someday, I hope that I can raise my child how I was raise.  I am a very family oriented person and they are my support system.  Where and how I was raised has definitely influenced me in my life. 

In a blink of an eye

I can't believe that this semester is almost to an end.  It seems like just last week that we were starting this semester.  The older I get the faster life seems to be moving.  I would love to just be able to go back to when I was little when life was so carefree.  But this just proves to live everyday to the fullest, because before you know it, its going to be over.

Go Cards!

Next Tuesday I am going to the Cardnials game with a coule of my friends from high school that I don't really get to see much anymore.  I am so excited to not only see them, but also to go to the game.  I love going to baseball games! I haven't been to a game this season yet, but it is only the beginning.  Last season my family and I always went to games and I am looking forward to going to more this season!

If I didn't have to work...

Well to start off, I know I would not be as stressed about anything in life if I didn't have to work.  Even though I enjoy my job a lot, it is still a lot to handle with going to school.  If I didn't have to work that would mean that I would have plenty of money to get me through the rest of my life with everything I wanted.  If I didn't have to work I would definitely volunteer my time at Children's Hospital to help with the sick children.  Even though that is what I am going to school now and to make money doing, I would still do it do it if I didn't have to make money.  But not working is not an option for me.

Wisdom Teeth

Last Thursday I had to get my wisdom teeth out because they have been bothering me.  I was so nervous because I had never had a "scheduled" surgery before.  The only surgery I have had done is on my ankle because I broke it.  Thursday morning I was sick to my stomach with nerves because of all the horrible stories I  have heard about it.  After the surgery was done, I realized it wasn't that bad.  I wasn't really sore or hurting yet because I had pain medicine to take before it started hurting.  Friday morning when I woke up I was really sore and swollen but I just rested the whole day.  Saturday I felt better but was just aggravated because it was nice outside and I wanted to be doing something other than watch television and I was hungry for some solid food.  After thinking back now, I really had nothing to worry about.

Summer

I seriously cannot wait for summer!  School has been so stressful this summer and I can't wait for a break.  Even though I will be working almost everyday this summer, it will still be nice. I'm glad that my job isn't one that I am stuck inside bored all day.  I can't wait to go swimming and to the zoo this summer! I'm still a kid at heart I feel like, but hey at least it's fun!

I love looking at quotes on the internet, but a quote that I was taught as a young child and have tried living by is 'treat others the way you want to be treated'.  When I was little my mom use to always tell me to treat others the way you want to be treated when I was being mean to someone.  As I got older, I realized what the meaning actually meant.  I wouldn't want to be picked on, talked down to, or bad mouthed, so I try not to do that to other people.  'Treat others the way you want to be treated' is a saying that I will pass on to my children.

My Baby Brother

My whole life I was an only child.  Four years after my mom had me, she found out she had breast cancer and was never able to have kids again.  I didn't mind being an only child.  I mean I didn't have to share my room or toys with another kid, and I didn't have to share my parents with someone else.  Even though it was nice at time, other times I sort of wished I had a younger sibling.  My parents got divorced when I was eleven so then I automatically figured I would always be an only child.  When I was 17, my dad informed me that him and his girlfriend were expecting.  I had no idea what to say or think.  I was very sad and upset at first but the longer the pregnancy went on I got more and more excited.  When Owen was born, I fell in love with him.  If I could go back and change the pregnancy I wouldn't because I would give the world to my baby brother if I could.  Words can not describe how much I love him.  I love when I come home and he comes running to the door yelling sissy with arms wide open.  For only being a year and a half old, he sure does know who cares for him.

Jobs

A couple days after turning 16, I went to fill out job application.  I could not wait to start making my own money, to be able to spend it out whatever I wanted.  I went to a couple places in my town that I thought I would enjoy working at.  A couple weeks later I got a call back from Tom's Supermarket that is seriously not a quarter mile away from my house. I was so excited when they told me they wanted to interview me.  At the interview they hired me on the spot.  I was so excited yet nervous to start my first job.  After starting there I loved it.  I love being able to interact with different people everyday.  There were those regulars that came in at the same time everyday also that I loved.  I can usually make small talk with anyone about anything.  After working there for almost two years I decided that I needed to move on from there and find a job that would help with my career that I want to do.  My brothers go to Laugh & Learn Daycare in town and I figured that would be a perfect place to start. While I was picking them up one day I asked for an application to fill out.  A couple days later I turned it in and got a call back for an interview. I was so excited! After the interview, the director called me back a couple days later to offer me a job there.  Even though I have babysat lots of kids, been around children all my life, and even taken care of my little brothers, I was nervous to start.  After working there for a couple weeks I can honestly say that I had nothing to worry about. I absolutely love working there! I actually look forward to going to work and seeing all the kids that adore me.  I never thought that I would love working with people so much, from being with new borns at the daycare from talking to 80 year old people at the supermarket, I can honestly say that I could never have a job that does not interact with different people everyday.

My Future Career

Ever since I was young I always wanted to be some kind of nurse.  As I get older, I have decided that I want to be a labor and delivery nurse or a nursery nurse.  I like kids of all age, but I love babies.  Before I was able to get a job I was always babysitting.  I still sometimes babysit now.  I work in daycare right now taking care of kids from two months old to kindergarten age.  My favorite room to be in is the infant room.  I have also thought about working in the NICU at a hospital.  I would love to be able to help a baby live.  I know it would be very sad, but I think that I am a strong enough person that I would be able to do it.  I have thought about being a pediatric nurse, but I would want to work at a hospital rather than a doctors office.  Right now I am taking classes to be able to transfer to Barnes nursing school.

1. Chicken.  My favorite food is chicken, because there are so many different ways to cook and season chicken.  I would not be able to list my favorite types of chicken because I pretty much love any kind.

2. Purple.  My favorite color is purple because it is a happy color.  There are a lot of different shades of purple but I prefer the bright purples.

3.  Thirteen Reasons Why.  Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher is one of my favorite books.  I'm not much of a reader but this story really pulled in my attention with the suspense from chapter to chapter.

4. Beaches.  My favorite vacation spot is anywhere with a beach.  I have been to Gulf Shores, Alabama, Panama City Beach, Florida, and Destin, Florida many of times.  Beaches are just so beautiful and relaxing.

5. Victoria's Secret PINK.  Victoria's Secret PINK is my favorite store for buying my comfortable clothes.  I like bright colors and all are their shirts and hoodies are bright and fun looking.  I also have many of pairs of yoga pants from there.
